Using the word gay:
 
Today my cousin who is a teenager asked if the name Pharaoh for a boy is gay. The reason she asked: She has a boy in her school who's name is Pharaoh and he's gay. When has a name become "gay"? and just because someone is gay doesn't mean they're different. It doesn't mean you should bully them. It doesn't mean anything. It's just who they like and it shouldn't even matter to you because think, is ____ being gay going to effect me? Is it going to effect MY life? If the answer to that is no then why should you really care if someone if gay, lesbian, trans, bi, or straight?
 
Using the word faggot:
 
People at my school use the term faggot or gay a lot just to describe everyday things. Ex. Two boys wrestling: gay. Two boys talking to each other: gay. One girl sitting on another girl's lap: lesbians. Girls who have short hair: dykes. Why do we use these terms to describe people or actions?
 
The other day this girl called a boy a faggot because he was doing his work. What happens if that boy went home and committed suicide? People need to understand WORDS HURT. No matter if you're that person's best friend and you call them a name but you were just joking. How do you know they knew you were just joking?
 
and one last thing. Since when has it been if you're straight and you stand up for gay people you're gay? I'd love to know. I'm 1000000% straight and I believe that everyone should be able to love and marry whoever they want. Does that make me gay? Because to a lot of people, it sure does.
